  • History

Rob Acocella and Lisa Selvaggio started Paragon Music Magazine in 2003 as a print magazine that would be distributed freely to the public and provide readers with information on independent, underground musicians primarily from the Rock, Metal, and Goth/Industrial scenes while also showcasing reviews, profiles, and interviews with various national and international musical artists and comedians. Mixed in were professional quality photographs by DIGImmortal Photo and inspiring articles that dealt with issues outside of the musical world. In 2006, Paragon Music Magazine went digital, and left behind the print format for one that allows readers to see the issues in full-color and much greater detail as PDF and Flash formats on its official website. The magazine has evolved to include more free advertising for non-profit organizations primarily in the environmental and animal rights fields in addition to interviews with several non-profits working in those fields. In 2008, the magazine's founders decided to take their activism to a whole new level by developing a site that would focus solely on the issues they care about most; a site that would help educate others and help Earth, and all its myriad creatures including humanity, truly live again.
