  Stop...
    It's getting harder to deal
     with the destruction

Please...
  Stop...
    They're alive too
    They're as much alive as you

Please...
  Stop...
    Crushing and cutting them
    Taking away their home

Please...
  Stop...
    Find sympathy for them
    Find sympathy for me

My voice is feeble but my eyes can see...can yours?
The sun's shining brightly and the birds are praising his smile.

My eyes well up with tears but my voice in my head screams...doesn't yours?
They have nowhere else to go since you tore away the trees.

They can't hear my voice but they can hear my heart break...won't yours?
They're crying out for help but there's nothing I can do.

You didn't ask us what we thought of all of this
You didn't seek out our opinion
You simply made your decision
And now we pay the price

Our voices and our hearts cry out
Our eyes well up and never dry
Because we know what life is
We know where true beauty resides

But you can't see what we see
And you can't hear the calls
You pillage and plunder with no regard
And you rip us apart from each other

Can't you see the light?
The sun's right there...
Don't you see the trees?
Their home's right there...
Can't you hear their song?
Their praising Mother Earth...
Can't you hear Her pleading?
She's begging you to stop...

Can't you feel my pain?
Don't you even care?
Did you take a second thought?
Are you even aware
Of the heartbreak you are causing
Of the souls you're shredding in two
Of these words that I can't speak out
Because they won't do any good?

Wake up please and stop this
They have nowhere to go
This is their home you are invading
This is their one abode

He's lying in the street
Waiting to be crushed by you
Did you even stop to see?

Their babies will end up starving
There is less food to go around
With all this concrete on the ground

I'm trying so hard to be strong
   ...I need to fight for them
