An Observation About Trees

Hundreds of years of wisdom
In the ancient tree
The leaves changing with every passing season
And the roots growing stronger, deeper with each passing year
How much knowledge must be contained in each slim branch
Providing life and protection
Sucking up the water from the ground
It’s as close to immortality as you can get
It’s as close to touching the sky as you can imagine
